fighting conch snail help???

I went to my LFS and bought 2 nassarius snails but when the guy was putting them in the back he pulled out the second on and it didnt look like the nassarius snails. He said it was so I said ok. I bought them for $1.99 each. When I was done acclimated them I put them in my tank and the 2nd one was like jumping and then burried in the sand. I looked it up and it was a Fighting Conch.

Please tell me about the fighting conch????

They are awesome algea eaters and will keep you sand all stirred up for you!

I'm getting two on my next order. As said before, they are great at moving sand.

Wow! Good price too. I payed like 5 bucks for one that was about 2" long. We never see it either, it is always buried in the sand.

i was just in the bahamas 2 weeks ago, and went snorkling on a reef. i saw a few conchs, which are just giant snails that somehow kill clams and stuff.

it was just creepy diving down and seeing this rotting looking animal in a shell with a bunch of empty clam and snail shells around it...

you sw people have it all, reefs, exotic fish, starfish, octopus...
