I have a TetraTec PF150 is that suitable for an 8 gallon saltwater tank or do i need some other type of filtration system?

it should be fine for an 8 gallon. the tetra tec moves 150 gph which should be more than enough for your 8 gallon.

I used to use (2) PF500's in my 125 gallon and they did a pretty good job. So I would think that a 150 would be more than enough for the tank you have.

What would be a good number of small (~2") fish that a tank that size can handle. Any other tips to what type of plants, snails, coral, etc. that i should have in there so the tank stays healthy?
