Hi again,

I'm using a Via Aqua 650 (they're now called Aqua one) and was wondering what type of filter media must be in there (ceramic noodles, etc). Also, the LR bought from LFS's, is it cured or uncured generally? If it is cured, can I put it straight in the tank? I'm still in the research stages so the tank doesn't have any water in in yet.

Ta muchly :)

don't know about the filter. If the tank is new I would dip the lr in some old tank water from a water change. Get the obvious dead stuff off it. and then add it to the tank. But new lr in an existing tank is different. Get a rubbermaid tub a heater and ph. add the lr to the tub and check ammonia levels. If the water tests fine add the lr
