Hey,
I have a 10 gal with about 15#s of LR and 40# of LS. Question is should i have any filter media in my HOB filter? I currently have the filter pad thing,,, the thing that is supposed to be in there. Should i take that out and swap in some other stuff,, should it be empty? It is a reef tank and i am also running a small power head, and soon there will be a tiny skimmer in there (LFS has one on the way for me,, they modify a tiny skimmer to skim the correct amount). So is the filter media pad thing just garbage, is it making things worse, is it useful, should i just be tossing some carbon in there? Tell me what you think because i don't know obviously.
