Thanks for the link. And thanks for the confirmation on the loc-line assembly.

Now comes something I just thought of. Typically, overflows are placed on one side or the other. Is the center a bad spot for it? I was thinking that with the return split to each side, it would make more sense to be in the center. Any thoughts on that?

Placement in the center is fine on this tank, just a matter of were you want if for aestetics more than anything. Are you drilling the back wall or the bottom panel?

I'm drilling the back. The box is only 6.5x6.2.... and the back is already painted black, so it should be be all that distracting. I might wait to figure that out until I get my rock (tomorow if the fedex tracking site is correct) to see how itll work out.

I've got to wait on everything to get here. The rock and sand should be here tomorrow. the RO/DI should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. I haven't received any shipment notification on the overflow yet. I think that's all I've got ordered so far. The bulk reef supply group buy starts tomorrow, so I'll probably be getting a few things then. Not sure.

reefrocks.net. I found them while utilizing google for some scaping ideas. I was originally going to go with one of our sponsors, since they do sponsor the site, but 50lbs of rock was $85, and 40lbs of sand was an additional $14 for shipping, but free.

Alrighty... Return pump (Mag 7), Salt, Refractometer, Loc-line, and loc-line fittings have been ordered. Now I just need to decide whether to build the sump or use the existing sump I have, get a few misc plumbing parts, and I'll be ready to set this thing up. Looks like it'll be ready to go quite a bit earlier than planned. Getting excited now.

Me too! I've seen your freshwater tanks and can only imagine how great your first sw tank is gonna be.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

That mag 7 is going to be a weak output on that tank. What is the distance between your sump and tank? Mine is about a foot and a half and is my main output for my biocube 29. It is not nearly what you would think. But mine is loc-line split. But still. Although your ph should shake things up.
Do you have a moon light? I would recomend the r2 with moon phase controller. 60 bucks for both and a cool addition.
