Looking good. Very nice pics.

Thanks Larry! Hopefully mine will look half as good as yours one day.

Agreed, lookin great. Is that a Yasha? Looks a bit different than the ones ive seen. Its very small too right?

I really enjoy my pistol shrimp. It will be fun once i can get a goby for mine too!!

It was sold to me as a red high fin banded goby. As far as research, I've failed to do any on it. The guy I got it from had it in a 40b, and I took him at his word that it would work out. Being about 1.5" (If that) long, I think it'll be ok in my tank haha.

That hole that it is popping out of is about the diameter of my finger. It is nestled up all cozy like with the pistol down in there... I can see them from under the tank at night when the refugium light is on.

Ah yes, that definitly is a high fin red banded! Has the look of a yasha too, just different colors.

That is great! Is the den front and center? I really like wat hing the pistol create them, and dig it all out:)

Not quite front and center. If you look at the FTS, it's 2 rocks to the right of that purple one in the center... below and just to the right of the green mille.

Looks like a great spot for some real estate

Here's my new goby I got last week -

Couldn't get the shrimp. It kept coming out, but the goby was guarding it from me

Cool little guy!

By the way, that camera is very impressive!

EDIT: He also looks like a Hi Fin Red Banded to me. :)

Thanks, redsea.

I got my frags in today. One of them looked a little iffy in the bag, but I think it'll be ok (see below)... the other I'm not so sure about. It's a lobo and I can see what I assume to be skeleton? Anyhoo, I'll point it out down the list as well. Overall, I am VERY pleased. They are very small, but such awesome frags. I'm not sure I placed them all correctly, but I think I did. I'll try and get a FTS once I get it cleared up. You'll notice the pics are a little hazy... that's from this mystery white milky color to the tank. I tried to get a pic tonight, but it's a little too cloudy to really see any detail.

Acans -

The Lobo... Any thoughts as to the health of this?

I believe another FTS is necessary! Those corals are awesome. They make me really want a reef!

Once you go reef, you never go back. Aint that right Rookie?;) lol

Lookin great by the way, i have no idea how you had enough space for those placements!

Thanks guys.

I really don't think you all understand just how small these things are haha. I'd say the acans are 3/4" diameter... A FTS just really won't show anything other than a bunch of colorful specks. I will, however, get one just as soon as it's clear enough to see.

I'm sure in a year this tank will be bursting with color and will be one of the best 40b reefs out there

While I have to sincerely appreciate that comment... I hardly think it will hold a flame to many of the 40 breeders I've seen. But seriously, thanks!

So I am interested in your water clarity issues... any ideas or leads on what is going on there?

I've narrowed it down to one of 3 things... and I'm farily certain it's not one of them.

-Caulerpa has gone sexual (no idea if it's even remotely close though)
-Sand getting stirred up by goby (went on a tantrum the other night...)
-Bacteria Bloom (I really doubt it... but it's pretty much identical)

If you have a petsmart, petco, or Walmart nearby, buy Crystal Clear for like $2 and it'll last along time. Plus within a couple hours, your water will be more clear than you ever imagined.
