Saw a really nice fire coral today at work but I can't really spend much time researching or reading on them. From what I remember they are decently hardy and are non-photosynthetic. Should this be okay in a well established reed tank?

Quite the opposite actually. They need a decently high amount of light. They are quite hardy however once established. The main concern with fire corals is their aggressive growth. They can and will deliberately grow towards nearby coral killing them.

Thanks for the link, I read a little more at work saw about them growing towards other corals 8O I also read they can grow up to 1" per month, that sounds too crazy to be true.....
