Fire Shrimp just pillaged sun coral

So I just started "training" my sun coral to come out during the evening and I shot some mysis at it and my darn fire shrimp went crazy and picked every piece from its closed polyps. Poor coral.

Yeah, they do that. Feed the shrimp first then feed the coral while its distracted.

Yeah, my fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp try that as well. I always cover my sun coral with the top halve of a 64 oz plastic bottle. This was, when I feed it the sub has time to digest the food. As soon as I take the top off the shrimp still jump all over it looking for scraps.

I leave the bottle for 20 minutes after feeding this keeps my cleaner and boxer away a treat !

Good idea.

I use my baster to shield the shrimps away.
