Fish Suggestions

Hi All,

Well, I just got my first tank up. I bought a used system from my LFS and had them come hook it up. Here's what I have

80 gallon
100 lbs live rock
20 lbs live sand
60 lbs aragonite
40 gal sump
2x96 power compacts 1 blue, 1 white.
Protein skimmer, magnum filter, UV sterilizer..etc.

I'm hoping for a FOWLR tank. Haven't put any fish in it yet. I'm looking for suggestions. I want small fish, peaceful community.

Here's what I like:
yellowtail damsels (to cycle?)
chromis
perc clowns
catalina goby
flame angel
coral beauty
cortez angel (too big? too aggressive?)
banded angel
rainfordi butterfly
bicolor blenny
mandarin goby
royal gramma

I'd like to have shrimp and/or crabs...I love the arrow crabs!

I'm getting a little overwhelmed from conflicting LFS opinions
and wanting some real advice from folks with experience.
Which fish should I get? And in what order. I know I can't have all of them, but I'm trying to give you some groundwork...
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jenn

rainfordi butterfly, very very very hard fish to keep alive in capitivy, it a coralvore.

I took the time to do research on the fish and this is what I came up with, but before you do, I need to let you know a couple of things.

1) Don't cycle your tank with damsels since they are very aggressive and can be bothersome to other fish-since you have live rock, that will start the cycle, I just suggest for you to add the fish lightly, lets say one at a time.

2) you have a set up, I would get at least a 30 gallon tank Hospital tank since you should quarentine the fish for at least a month before adding to your main display in order to prevent disease outbreaks and headaches later on.

3) To many angels in one tank is a recipe for disaster, unless you introduce them at the same time. SAME goes for Tangs, just in case you might purchase one of them since they are too beautiful fish.

4) I would get 1-sand shifing seastar, a couple of snails and hermits and cleaner shrimp or coral bands shrimp to eat up left over food and stif the sand up. in order to prevent deadspots.
