Fishless Coral Tank

If I were going to set up a little 5 gallon tank, no fish just corals(polyps) and hermit and snail, would the tank even need to be cycled, another question is would the snail, hermit, coral survive without the fish being in their environment
 
lets see, yes, yes and yes again are the answers to your questions. You will have to feed the critters tho.
 
Most definitely. If you currently have a tank you could use sand and rock from it and you could get away without a cycle. Just stock slow.
