Hey all.

New to saltwater. I have a 55 gallon tank that I purchased that is has been running for 5+ years. Purchased the two white and two blue actinic fixture. They have separate cords. Each one has a white and blue bulb. Is it ok to put two whites on one cord and the other cord with the blues? Would this effect my mushrooms and rock?

Many thanks.

That shouldn't hurt anything. Just set your timers up so the blue comes on an hour or so before your white and goes off an hour after your white.

Thanks!

You should always spread the white and blue instead of stick together. something like blue - white- white- blue or white- blue- blue-white
