Flame Hawk and Shrimp Compatability?

I have 2 shrimp (fire and cleaner) in my 120, and a flame hawk in another tank. He used to be in the 120 until I decided to get the shrimp. The LFS said that the hawk may try to eat the shrimp. Does anyone have experience with the 2 co-existing? I would really like to put the flame back in his true home, but only if I feel it's safe for the shrimp. TIA.

Andy

Liveaquaria says to watch for smaller shrimp, I think they might mean feeder shrimp. I would wait for other's personal experiences.

How big is it?

I'd be wary regardless. $25 snacks.

Don't do it!!!!

I thought I could get away with a long nose (small mouth) and a large cleaner shrimp. Long nose hawks grow fast on cleaner shrimp.

Remove the shrimp if you want to keep them otherwise they will become expensive supplemental feedings.

I agree that your shrimp will be toast.
