I added a flasher wrasse today and two hours later he is laying on the sand bed, alive but not moving. I've read they can hide for extended periods but is this usual?

Mine would do this after eating, and if I remember he did this right after I added him.
Did you treat your wrasse for worms? I lost my mccosker male last week from internal worms, and would hate to see you loose yours.

I never knew they needed treatment for worms. I've read up and never came across that :-(

They are wild caught and are predators; chances are they have worms. The next time I get any wrasse I will be treating with a dewormer, better safe than sorry.

Ah man. I wish I had known that
