This fish is AMAZING !
Bright as hell !
Since he hides in the day do I need to feed some @ night then? I just got him tonight..

I would try some mysis at night, and try to tell if hes going after it. I guess it would be hard to tell since he only comes out when your lights are off.

Has anyone had one before even?

I've seen one before, it was at an the oceanarium in Bournemouth. www.oceanarium.co.uk
They have small lights on their head, right? Look through the oceanarium site and find the abyss - you should find it's name. Find it's scientific name and google it. Until then feed it at night - I don't think it cares, but to be on the safe side - thats probably the only time it lights up to see (in the dark).
Flashlight fish

Family of Anomalopidae, which is Greek for ‘Abnormal Eye’. Adults forage for plankton on moonless nights. What appear to be blazing eyes are actually organs beneath them, which house symbiotic luminescent bacteria.
