Florida fighting conch

So I just watched my FFC FLIP a snail shell and rip the snail (tiger) out of it. It was either dead or dying. Unusual?

The Florida Fighting Conch is a scavenger and is omnivorous. Makes sense that it ate the dead/dying snail.

I assumed as much. The 4 inch barbed samurai blade it flipped out made me question the aggressiveness though...lol

Hermit crabs will kill snails for their shells.

Attached to their foot. Mine uses his as a fulcrum to leverage and lift himself over rocks lol. It's pretty nasty looking though

Wow, your conch's shell looks so nice. Mine is gray and purple (purple being algae). I like that shell a lot.
