fluval canister question

If my 100 gallon fowlr tank has about 60lbs of LR, would a Fluval 405 with LR rubble and carbon "about a week a month" provide enough filtration. Im using two HOB filters and Im wanting to get rid of them. Im thinking that they are the leading cause of my high nitrates.

IMO Should be fine. Depending on your stocking level the 60lbs of LR may be enough. Grab some LR rubble and put it in that can and it's even better. Again though, filtration should be based on stocking not volume.
