foam over intakes?

Hi, is it ok for me to just put foam from micheals and put it over my powerhead so nothing (animals) get sucked in? can i also put it over my filter intake becasue my anemone has gotten stuck in there too. (had to dump a dead anemone today (3rd one) all because they got sucked in . i have a 30 gallon.

Make sure you clean it often. If not it will catch food etc. and become a NO3 factory.

if your anemones are not happy they will move alot.. what type of set up do you have? If they keep moving maybe there is something they don't like.
I have 3 BTAs and they have not moved from where I placed them.. 2 different tanks.. the 3rd one was a split, so it placed itself right next to the original..

tell us a little about yout set up..
