i went to the beach at trinidad CA and found some beautiful phyla rodophyta macroalgae that i could not resist taking a frag of :)
so it is in the fuge now after a quck FW dip and a long temp acclimation period.
the ocean here is ~52°F right now and my system's temp is ~78°F. does anyone have any input on opinions if this temperate algae will live in the long-term at this tropical temp.
it looks like its doing GREAT so far but its been only a matter of hours so we will see in the next week.
i will keep a CLOSE eye on it and keep yall posted.

thanks!!!

it was doing good this morning but i had a change of heart becuase i am leaving on a 5 day vacation tomorrow so i decided better not leave the algae in there. i fed it to my garden which loves macroalgae. BTW if anyone needs to get riod of their macro cuttings, feed your houseplants :)

RIP little Rhodophyta!
