Is it easy? What tools are required? Any tips?

A dremel would be ideal. Cut at least an inch below the flesh to be safe. Piece of cake.

Thanks, I'm in need of a dremmel then. Is there an alternative that still works? Hack saw maybe?

Bone shears as well. A coral frag kit can be bought just about anywhere...mine came with shears to scalpels.

Yeah, but the skeleton sometimes crumbles when you try to cut it with shears. It cuts beautifully with a dremel (spend the 15 bucks for the diamond blade).
