You can just cut a small portion off the crown, then attach it to a piece of rubble. Just use some sharp scissors or a razor blade so you get a clean cut.

I usually just cut off a finger or branch and then attach it to a small piece of rock. I use a toothpick and a rubber band for this. For cutting, I use some titanium scissors that I got from Walmart.
