Fragging your BTA

Got up this morning to find out that my green BTA has been fragged into about 50,000 pieced by my powerhead. Too bad they're not like aiptasia....then I'd have thousands of them all over the tank

So far, all the non-fragged residents seem fine. I wasn't sure they would be so good with all the nem bits that must be floating about in there right now.

Buddy, that's not fragging....That's one of the events that people with anemones fear, your anenome walking close to and getting sucked into your powerhead and getting chopped up. When anemones multiply, they split. Most likely your anemone is dead. I would just remove as much of the chopped up anemone you can. HTH.

I was pretty upset when I saw what was left of him hanging from the powerhead output. If I had of been there I could have manually moved him or shut off the powerhead, but it was far too late. It was a lesson learned by both of us.
