Low flow. Most people put them on the sand bed.

low to medium flow. Random flow is best you don't want it in the direct path of your PH.

Mines on the sand bed with low-medium flow & it's growing great.

I agree here. Chaotic flow is best. This is best done by pointing two power heads at each other in a empty area of the tank. They dont need to be close.
