It's on a rock basically and something knocked it down to to the bottom of the tank

Ah ok. I'm assuming you moved it back to where it was? How long had it been on that part of the rock before it didn't open up anymore?

On the same day I put it back it opened up as much as it did in the pick and it hasn't opened up anymore

Ah ok. But yeah, new lights will help out a lot. Hope things turn out ok!

I got the lights a while back and forgot to post but it finally started opening back up all the way, so yay(:
