Fuge for 40 breeder...

Will be modding an AC110... I will be creating a baffle, but am considering making a second baffle as to be a sponge or filter floss "holder" if you will. Should I go about this or scrap the mechanical filtration all together?

What are your goals with making a fuge? Given the relatively small size I would say scrap the mechanical filtration and give as much room as possible for the live rock or macros that you are planning to grow.

Would like some breeding grounds for pods, some more live rock, and some macro. The only reason I want a sponge or floss is because of the "stuff" that's always floating around my tank. Mechanical seems to polish it nicely...

Could you use a filter sock to grab some of the bigger stuff?
