Hey Everyone --

I've had this cleaner shrimp for about a year, and no major changes have been made to the tank recently, except for the addition of coral frags (xenia and zoos), and a couple of emerald crabs for algea control.

Any thoughts about the spots on his back (which normally is bright solid red and white) and the discolored antennae (which also normally are white). It's tough to get a close up, but you should see how they are spotted -- almost as though they are growing corraline algea on them.

The only thing we can think of is perhaps he is beginning to molt?

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Matt

I would think the molt thing too. As the old shell starts to release it will get some space between it and the new. I would think this is is what it would look like. Mine always starts hiding when it's time to molt and I won't see it again till it is complete.

Well, all it took was to wait overnight -- and yep, he molted after all.
Thanks for the sanity check, Kat.
