It isn't uncommon for this behavior. Perch under a rock and slowly move out once adjusted to the tank or even just leaning out from under the rock they are under to get light.

Are you guys able to see the link to the phone? I didn't do a think. I'm pretty stoked that he's decided to show himself. It's been a week since I've put him in.

since we got the anemone roughly the same time, does your anemone shrivel up when the light is out during the night? every morning i wake up i would see my bubble tip anem's tentacles shriveled up. this morning, there's more shriveled tentacles than the "bubble tip" tentacles. here are the pics. the picture doesn't show the "condition" as bad as it should because it's worse this morning. the pictures are not upside down, it's just my anem decided to anchor itself upside down to a piece of liverock. i have fed it 1inch raw de-shelled shrimp just this Tuesday

I've never really looked at the nem when lights are out. The house is pitch black when I leave in the morning and I'm fast sleep when lights do out in evening. Also I've read that it's very hard for nems to digest large pieces of food. I try to cut whatever food I'm needing into 1/4 inch or less pieces.

could you do a quick check for me tomorrow morning or something? i would like to know if this is a norm. i might've overstated about the 1inch food, i suppose it was more or less 1/2 inch and the anem took it without problem. the only reason why i posted the feeding was to eliminate the possible suggestion to the lack of nutrition. my clowns aren't hosting the anem or vice versa.

Sounds good. My clowns don't host it either. I've heard that they're hit and miss. Who knows tho, maybe on day they will.
