golby/ pistol shrimp

i bought a orange diamond back goby and a i think japanese pistol shrimp pair. when i put them in the tank the pistol went right into the rock and the goby has been hanging out just on the sand. will they every find each other again? i tried to put them in together so they would still be with each other but i don't think the goby has found the pistol any advice? it makes me sad that i broke up there friendship maybe

Almost willing to betcha since your post on Sunday that they have already. If not, I truly believe they will.

the hard part is going to be getting them to live together in a cave / burrow that is on the front side of the rock... :x

that is one thing that is going to drive me nuts when i finally get a goby to go with my shrimp.
