I'm about to upgrade the lights on my 20 long from 110 watts pc to 175 watts MH + 110 watts pc. One of the livestock additions I would like to make in the future is a clam. Which of the clam species would be good for 20 and not outgrow the tank? Thanks for any info. :D

From a lighting stand point...you will be able to keep any species you want, and may actually have too much light for squamosas and gigas, doesn't really matter, they get to big for a 20 ;) I would go with a maxima or a crocea, maximas will be a little more forgiving of water quality, but either should do fine and don't get too big for the tank.

IMO, yes, you could keep clams in a 30 with that lighting, I think you could keep any of the clams, but I personally would stick with maximas, they stay small enough for the tank and are not as light dependant as the croceas.
