I've been mixing my saltwater a week in advance before doing water changes. I use a 30 gallon rubbermaid tub. I haven't bought a heater for the tub yet and was wondering how to warm the water above room temp before doing my water changes. The tank was do for a water change this morning so last night I set the tub in front of my heater register in my kitchen. I checked the temp in the tub this morning and it was 78 degress!

A heater would be the best solution. The temp should match the main tank to prevent stress isuues on the inhabitants. Also be sure to check ph, salinity and alk once it's been well mixed (24hrs) and properly aggitated with a PH.

Cheers
Steve
