This past weekend I treated for flatworms (salifert flatworm exit, worked great!) and directions said to use carbon to get rid of the chemical, I did. My question is should I continue to use carbon in my tank? Btw it's never been so nice and clear! My biggest fear is what will be effected by it? It's seems my pod population is down, from the carbon or flatworm exit, I don't know? My main goal is to establish a good pod population in perpetuation for a mandarin, I've had great success with this until now I've noticed my population is low, what's the pros & cons of running carbon? Is this what's effecting my pod population?

The carbon removes odor and clears the water. I don't think it should have an effect on pods.

I didn't think it would, I'm thinking it was the flatworm exit! I think I'll keep running it!
