Good Light Cycle

What's a good amount of time to have the actinics on, and then both actinics and daylight lamps on in a reef tank? Right now I have the actinics on for about 14 hours and then the 50/50 comes on for about 12 in the middle, with the halides/pc (daylight) on for about 8 hours in the middle.

I just have VHO lights and I keep both on 12 hrs a day. (9-9)
