Green rug like algae?

I've got some green rug like algae growing on my LR right on top of my purple coralline algae. Is that normal because I like the purple coralline more. Is there anyway to remove the green algae besides scrubbing?

I've heard that little blue leg crabs will clean it up but I'm afraid to get them because I've also heard they will harm an anemone. Is that true?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it might be hair algae. Could be cyano but that usually forms a slimy looking mat and seems to prefer the substrate in most cases. Scrubbing is the only way to remove it...a toothbrush works well. I have never heard of hermits bothering an anemone although they may lower your snail population some. I would probably add some snails...cerith, nerite, astrea, or turbos. What are your water parameters? Nitrate levels? How often are you doing water changes and how much? How old is the tank?
