GFO (Granular Ferric Oxide) reactor BRS has them for a pretty good deal. Also depending on your CUC (Clean Up Crew) and size of your tank? What size is your Tank?

GFO will help if phosphates are contributing to the algae outbreak. It won't help with high levels of nitrates, bad lighting, bad lighting schedule, overe feeding etc.

There are several posts here about algae control. Here is one that specifically talks about hair algae. In the end, pull out what you can by hand and address your water quality/lighting potential issues.

If it's a big enough tank....tangs can take care of it for you

Mine pick at the stuff contstantly. Now, if I could only direct them to where I want them to graze instead of them deciding it would look a little more even.
