Hair algea starting

The past week the hair algea in my tank has increased drastically. What could this be from? I have control of all other algeas and cyano. Could it be just a stage of some sort?

Question, I have a Hob fuge but its nasty its full of all the algeas that used to be in my display should I do a ful clean on it every couple months or just leave it?

Maybe when you do a PWC you can try to siphon out as much as possible and maybe even scrape the glass. Between those two and that checklist you should have it down in a month or so. Remember it did not happen over nite and it wont disapear over night also.
