Heater in skimmer

I was just wondering if it would be alright if I put my heater inside my AquaC skimmer. thanks.

Is it submersible and is there enough room for it to stay completely submerged? Is there space for the cord to come out without modifying it? I know alot of people put them in hob filters.

not a good idea imo ! will hinder the water flow and contact time for the bubbles

it works good. You have to first put the cord down through the water outlet than put the heater in.

Anyone know of a good way to suspend the heater in the skimmer body without using suction cups which will eventually fail? I really do not think a heater would block the outflow of a Remora, there is tons of space in there for the ammount of water that needs to pass through.

I was also thinking of putting my heater in my CPR when I remove the bio-bale. Do you think a 300 watt heater will damage the skimmer?

i just drop mine in and let it float. Its been that way for years! only 150 watt though.
