u need to know all your water tested result...as Jimbo said, they just want to make sales and all they said will be 'perfect'...or the more u ask, the more things to buy....its happen in front of me where students want to start marine tank without any research or reading, where the LFS told him to buy unnecessary goods...read, read and read then ask questions....

if your ich problem already critical, IMO QT is the best method....

It sounds like you do not have a test kit. If you upgraded your tank two weeks ago you might have restarted your cycle. You really should pick up a kit for yourself to test regularly. From what i have read people have given you good advice and you should take it if you really are commited. They only want to help.

I've seen stress from salinity swings - especially from adding SW to evap'd tank levels cause fish sickness.
