HELP!!

today i was looking in my tank and saw black stuff in my ls and i moved it around and it was on a few pices of my lr and some of my lr has bright orange coloring on it whats going on ??? 8O

Does the stuff on the sand come up in sheet like pieces, or is it more like typical FW algae?

no its like the sand it self is turning black i have cc mixed with brought playground sand
