I have had my 40 gallon salt water tank(sumpless)for about a year now. I have both fish and corals.
I am moving on the first and have no idea how to go about this if Anyone has advice or know of a helpful article I would greatly appreciate it.

Use new sand, keep rock submerged, and change 100% of the water if it's easier. Drip acclimate livestock to new water.

I've moved from apt to apt with my 72 gal each time broke down tank put everything submerged in 5 gal buckets a lot of buckets!! Jus keep it to min that you do this transport don't let the water get cold etc

Keep the water, keep the sand. No need to throw it away, period. I used 30g totes from wal- mart to move rock, coral and fish from my 250g tank.

+1 to steve just move it all in containers or buckets its not as bad as it seems and you can change your rocks around to. Nice tank to!
