Hey guys - pumped about my new skimmer, set it up and it's creating a lot of micro bubbles in the tank. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Also looking for recommendations on how far down to keep the collection cup. Any suggestions are much appreciated!!

How can I be sure this thing doesn't overflow tonight. Got me a bit worried, collection cup already has a little bit of scum in it.

How's it going with the protein skimmer? Have you ditched your filter yet? I got Reef Octopus BH 100 and thinking about running the skimmer with Live Rock and Powerheads only. What's your set up like now?

I still have my hob filter, running Purigen through it. It's clear as day in my tank. I like the extra flow it adds. I don't think ill remove it, although tank would probably be fine without it. The Protein skimmer is absolutely awesome.

It did- my lfs said it'd just collect algae and wasn't very useful, I'm thinking of putting at least one back on because of the bubbles though
