Help protein skimmer!

So over the past couple of weeks my protein skimmer seems to be working just fine but when it returns the water back the water that is returned is filled with air so it makes the water look like carbonated water and bubbles everywhere ? Any ideas

Put a filter sock on the return to catch the bubbles or adjust the air valve.

I guess ive never looked too into the skimmer and how it works. The air valve should i close all the way or do i want it open a bit

You want it open so air gets in. It takes some fine tuning to get it just right.

The more air i let in the more bubbles in my water ahh just want a crystal clear tank like everyone else hah
