if just one question to rock anemones hide during the night, he/she goes into the rock during the night and turns all purple and looks really bad is this normal or do i need to move him/her. any response will help. 55 gallon, custom sea life power compacts 65x4, 90 pounds of live rock, all of the readings are correct. thanks

Anemone's retreat naturally at night or when there is a significant change in the light intensity. ie.. when the whites go off and leave only actinic or darkness. It is nothing to be concerned about as long as the daytime appearance of the anemone is otherwise healthy.

Never try to physically move an anemone. It will often do more damage than you realize. Only if the anemone is in danger of a PH or other impeller should you attempt to move it.

Cheers
Steve
