I have two small pieces of rock that have some zoas on it .I see two individual buttons ( I guess) floating around on my sandbed my question is do they break off to start up in a new location ? Or is my coral beauty doing damage ? I have had him for 8mo and never seen him pick at them .

If the polyps are floating then something is up. Either it isn't happy and it fell off or something is picking them off. I had a polyp fall off a frag plug once and just glued it back on.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.
