it measures 72 x 18 x 26 which equals about 145 Gal I was told by the shop that it was alot more than this unless they work them out differently in the UK or something...

If you'll notice there wasn't any land marks prior to my guesstimate I was judging by the contents of the tank, no 180, 150.

Of course, jabba could remove all the guessing and tell us the tank volume, or post the demensions.

Yup spot on according to the capacity calculator on this site
A 72*18*26 is 145 us gal or 120 imperial gal or 549 liters.
