ok, so my Gobie jumped into my my back chamber as I was trying to get him out, What a pain I noticed there is a lot of Junk floating around back there. Can I rinse my bag of ceramic rings? In distilled water? Or should I leave them alone? I need to cut back on feeding. I am sure that will cut back on the junk.

your best rinsing in your dt water when you do a pwc.(in a seperate container)

Yes always rinse them in SW. If you rinse in FW you`ll lose your nitrifying bacteria.
