Basically you cant by looking at it. You`ll just have to find out from whoever sold it to you. They should know. Moving this to the SW reef aquaria forum. It`s basically our SW general discussion forum.

oh kool i no that mine are tank bred was just wondering if there was any majour diffrence between the two. thanks for the advice thoe much appreciated

Shouldn't be any major differences really. As long as you get them from a reputeable breeder they usually adapt to captive systems much easier then wild caught.
