I have a torch coral that is on a plug and it has grown fairly large. the base is very hard as you all know. I was wondering if i can cut as close to the base as pssible and then just glue it. if so what can i use to cut it? I usually use a pocket knife to frag my leather

I have had luck with branching corals like that just sort of cutting it off the plug. There is no flesh in the bottom of the hard part then just glue it to a rock.
It will be stressed for a litlle but after 30 minutes or so it will be out open and happy
