anyone have any clever ideas? i usually just rinse them out a thousand times with really hot water and sometimes if they're salty or buildupy i use a q-tip (and yes i did just say buildupy). does anyone else have a better way to do this?

i only get build up on the calcium test kit and that's about it. i just use the water from the aquarium about 5 times before and after each test.

Every fish store i've ever worked in bleaches them, and when they get real bad they use muriatic acid on them. a little overkill IMO.

i think the only reason i get buildup is because i dont always wash them right after i do tests. sometimes i just leave them sitting over night with the test still in them. i have a terrible habit of forgeting them till i need them again

the only build up i get is like a powerish coating over the calcium test tube.
