How do you keep ZooPlankton

We keep it in the fridge but it smells bad after a week or two. My wife is in charge of food and feeding, I'm in charge of posting

Can you spread this stuff out on a cookie sheet and freeze it? She swears it smells bad after a couple of weeks, pitches it and buys another jar *sigh*

If you are using DT's it shouldnt be a problem. Sometimes it will have a funny smell to it, but its nothing to worry about. If your concerned about it, you can atually start your own cultures. Thats what I'm going to do once we are in the new house (one more month!).

This link should give you all the info you need on how to set up your own cultures.

I'll have to check with my wife for the brand she's buying. It looks like a small chutny or gourmet mustard jar.
