How do you lock the loc-line fittings together?

I guess I am just plain stupid but I can't figure out how to put the different 3/4" loc-line fittings together. Any help out there?

each piece of the loc-line modular tubing should look similar to an hourglass. with one end smaller than the other. The small end will snap into any of the larger ends. They will pivot about 45* in any direction. Just put the small end to the large end and push firmly till you hear it snap into place.
