How hot is too hot for a tank...?

I just aquired a 12 gallon tank. I have it for work. The heater that came with the tank has 2 setting 76 and 82... I have it on 82, is it too high?

82 is fine. Just make sure there is good circulation.

1 ph should be fine in a 12g. I would love to have a tank at work but I would get nothing done all day
